You know, doing the sightseeing thing is tiring, especially when you eschew the cab and choose to see the city by bus and on foot. On that note, we stumbled into this restaurant after being rejected by a couple others in the neighborhood that would not sit us because they were closing for the night. Perfectly understandable because I too would want to go home after a long day and not have to deal with another bloody tourist and his finicky girlfriend that wants lemon and filtered ice in her water....
I liked this restaurant from the outset, it is well lit and you get the feeling you are dining in a former warehouse or something with its deep set, painted over brick walls.
The Mussels and frites and the Le pectroas with frites were superb. And so was the service. Even though we didn't speak the language the server was patient and assisted where he could in his broken English. We made it work and had a great relaxing meal.
